AFL action, Brewers take 2-0 lead, ALCS begins

Jhonny Severino doubled and scored in a rain-suspended 6-6 Arizona Fall League game, while the Milwaukee Brewers took a 2-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Cleveland Guardians captured Game 1 of the ALCS. Severino and Wyatt Sanford represented the Pittsburgh Pirates for the Glendale Desert Dogs before Monday's game was halted in the eighth inning.
In postseason action, William Contreras delivered a home run and two RBI singles to power Milwaukee to victory. Meanwhile, the Guardians overcame an early deficit with home runs from Chase DeLauter and Patrick Bailey, followed by a decisive Nathaniel Lowe two-run single to secure their ALCS opening win.
