SAN DIEGO -- For a second straight postseason, the Padres and Cubs will meet in the National League Wild Card Series. This time, it’ll be at Petco Park.

The San Diego Padres secured the No. 4 seed and home-field advantage in the National League Wild Card Series following a 10-7 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. Combined with a Philadelphia Phillies loss to Tampa Bay, the win set up a first-round postseason matchup against the Chicago Cubs at Petco Park starting on Tuesday.
Manny Machado propelled the Padres with his 30th home run of the season, a go-ahead three-run blast that brought his career total to 399. Manager Craig Stammen utilized an early bullpen approach following Walker Buehler's short start, as San Diego clinched its third consecutive 90-win season.
