San Francisco Giants pitcher Logan Webb has been named the team's nominee for the 2026 Roberto Clemente Award. The prestigious Major League Baseball honor recognizes players who demonstrate exceptional character, community work, and philanthropy on and off the field. Webb, a three-time All-Star, expressed his pride in being recognized for his contributions outside of baseball.
Webb's community efforts focus on raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl and promoting mental health. The cause is deeply personal to Webb, who lost his cousin Kade to an accidental fentanyl overdose in 2021. He has visited local high schools in Northern California and spearheaded the Giants' annual Fentanyl Awareness Day at Oracle Park.
