September callup expected to be ready for game action in April…

Seattle Mariners prospect Michael Arroyo underwent right elbow scope surgery to clean up cartilage and brace a chronic UCL injury. Performed by Dr. Keith Meister, the procedure will keep Arroyo sidelined from game action until April. The recovery timeline means the 21-year-old will miss Spring Training and open the 2027 season on the injured list.
Arroyo, ranked as Seattle's No. 3 prospect, posted a .953 OPS across 15 Major League games as a September call-up in 2026. The procedure marks the Mariners' third announced offseason surgery, following earlier operations on Cal Raleigh and Josh Naylor.
