The Seattle Mariners declined the contract options for starting pitcher Bryce Miller and outfielder Victor Robles following the World Series. In a corresponding move, the club exercised the option for closer Andres Munoz. Robles will now enter unrestricted free agency, freeing up $9 million in payroll for the Mariners to use during the offseason.
Miller remains under team control through arbitration until 2029 and will receive a $15,000 buyout after his option was declined. He posted a 4.17 ERA across 118.2 innings in 2026, including a second-half slump where his ERA reached 6.05. Meanwhile, Robles heads into free agency alongside several teammates following a two-year decline in his offensive production.
