The Story in 60 Seconds

Zach Cioffi of Just Baseball analyzed the St. Louis Cardinals' arbitration-eligible roster to project 2027 salaries and predict tender decisions. Pitcher Andre Pallante leads the projected raises with an expected $7.5 million salary following a 162-inning season, while outfielder Alec Burleson is projected at $6.9 million after hitting 26 home runs. CIOffi expects both players to settle their contracts without going to an arbitration hearing.

Among other key projections, Matthew Liberatore ($4.1M), Masyn Winn ($4.0M), Jordan Walker ($3.55M), Ivan Herrera ($2.9M), Kyle Leahy ($1.95M), and Pedro Pages ($1.0M) are all predicted to be tendered contracts. Conversely, Cioffi projects infielder Nolan Gorman as a non-tender candidate due to offensive struggles, lack of minor-league options, and a projected $3.155 million salary.
