Top 100 prospects Rodriguez, Doyle cap Double-A seasons with another standout performance

Top St. Louis Cardinals prospects Rainiel Rodriguez and Liam Doyle delivered strong performances in Double-A Springfield's 6-4 loss to Amarillo in Game 3 of the Texas League Finals on Wednesday. Rodriguez hit a two-run home run measured at 110 mph off the bat, while Doyle pitched five innings, allowing one unearned run and striking out six.

Despite the defeat at Route 66 Stadium, both players completed successful 2026 campaigns. Rodriguez posted 27 home runs across High-A and Double-A this year, while Doyle recorded 130 strikeouts over 103 innings in 23 starts for Springfield.
