Rookie second baseman JJ Wetherholt leads a group of St. Louis Cardinals players contending for postseason honors following the team's 2026 campaign. Wetherholt is a finalist for the National League Gold Glove at second base and remains in contention for NL Rookie of the Year and All-MLB honors after producing 4.6 fWAR and top-tier defensive metrics.
Several other Cardinals players are in contention across multiple award categories. Shortstop Masyn Winn and pitcher Michael McGreevy join Wetherholt as Gold Glove finalists, while first baseman Alec Burleson, outfielder Jordan Walker, and closer Riley O'Brien are in consideration for Silver Slugger, All-MLB, or Reliever of the Year honors.
