Following a season in which 13 players made their Major League debuts, Will Leitch highlighted three St. Louis Cardinals prospects who could reach the majors in 2027. The featured players are top catching prospect Rainiel Rodriguez, left-handed pitcher Liam Doyle, and right-handed pitcher Tanner Franklin.
Rodriguez hit .324 across High-A and Double-A in 2026, while the Cardinals plan to test his versatility with reps at third base. Pitchers Doyle and Franklin, both 2025 draft picks from the University of Tennessee, showed dominant strikeout rates in the minors and are expected to follow similar timelines toward potential promotions later in the 2027 season.
