Another eve of a playoff round, another day spent with all eyes on Aaron Judge.

The New York Yankees are weighing whether to include star outfielder Aaron Judge on their ALDS roster against the Tampa Bay Rays. Judge took batting practice at Tropicana Field on Friday as he continues recovering from a moderate right calf strain suffered on September 16. Manager Aaron Boone indicated the club is assessing whether Judge could be available at some point during the series, possibly starting in a pinch-hitting capacity.
The best-of-five series schedule features multiple off-days, potentially allowing New York to carry more position players and grant Judge extra healing time. Despite his uncertain status, the Rays are preparing as if Judge will play, with manager Kevin Cash expecting him to bat third and start in right field.
