As far as Yandy Diaz is concerned, the ALCS is over. “It's a great opportunity. All of us are thinking of it,” Díaz said through interpreter Kevin Vera following Sunday's Game 5 victory by the Tampa Bay Rays.
Tampa Bay Rays star Yandy Díaz boldly predicted that the team will win Game 6 of the ALCS against the Cleveland Guardians to close out the series. The declaration followed Tampa Bay's 3-1 road victory in Game 5 on Sunday, which handed the Rays a 3-2 series lead.
The series now shifts to Tampa Bay, where the Rays have two chances to secure their first American League pennant since 2008. Pitcher Freddy Peralta will start Game 6 for Tampa Bay against Cleveland's Shawn Armstrong.
