The Tampa Bay Rays made several roster moves on Monday, November 2, highlighted by adding right-handed pitcher Alexander Alberto and outfielder Jack Suwinski to their 40-man roster. The team also activated Jacob Melton, Ryan Pepiot, and Edwin Uceta from the 60-day injured list, outrighted Jonathan Heasley, traded Evan Reifert to the Houston Astros for cash considerations, and re-signed Kodi Whitley to a minor league deal.
Alberto, 25, posted a 3.43 ERA across Double-A and Triple-A in 2026 and was added to prevent him from reaching minor league free agency. Suwinski, 28, who was acquired by Tampa Bay in an August trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers, is arbitration-eligible and out of minor league options heading into 2027. Following the transactions, the Rays have 39 players on their 40-man roster.
