Wyatt Langford would solve the Philadelphia Phillies' greatest need, and they may be willing to give the Texas Rangers a haul for his services.

Nolan Writin' writer Jeff Speicher proposes a mock trade sending Texas Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford to the Philadelphia Phillies. Following an early playoff exit, the Phillies reportedly need outfield help and right-handed power bats, making the 24-year-old Langford an appealing target despite his history of injuries and inconsistent production across three major league seasons.
Speicher argues the Rangers could take advantage of Philadelphia's interest by acquiring top pitching prospect Gage Wood and infielder Bryan Rincon, or major-league outfielder Colby Thomas. The article notes that moving Langford would also allow Texas to avoid paying a projected $125 million to $175 million contract extension.
