Rangers shake up front office, coaching staff ahead of 2027

Texas Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young announced multiple changes to the club's coaching staff and front office ahead of the 2027 season. Alex Cintron will step away from his role as assistant hitting coach but will remain in the organization in a part-time capacity. Additionally, assistant Major League pitching coach Dave Bush will not return, while the remaining members of manager Skip Schumaker's coaching staff are expected to stay.

In the front office, the Rangers promoted Nick Hundley to vice president of player development, Mike Parnell to vice president of pro personnel, and Hamilton Wise to vice president of amateur and international scouting. The Rangers are currently interviewing external candidates to replace Cintron as assistant hitting coach alongside Justin Viele, while Bush's former coaching position will not be filled.
