The Season That Was: Dylan Cease

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Dylan Cease has been named an All-MLB candidate following the conclusion of the 2026 Major League Baseball regular season. Cease was nominated alongside Toronto teammates Louis Varland and Kazuma Okamoto, despite the Blue Jays finishing with a 79-83 record and missing the postseason.

Cease also made statements regarding veteran pitcher Max Scherzer following what may have been the future Hall of Famer's final major league start. Toronto enters the offseason with rotation questions after an injury-affected campaign ended outside of playoff contention.
