The Toronto Blue Jays have officially parted ways with 12-year MLB veteran pitcher Michael Lorenzen. After being outrighted to the minor leagues, the 34-year-old pitcher declined the assignment to AAA and elected to become a free agent. The move occurred during Toronto's crucial series against the Baltimore Orioles.
Lorenzen struggled during his brief tenure with the Blue Jays, allowing 11 earned runs and four home runs in just 11.2 innings pitched. Over the entire 2026 season, which included a stint with the Colorado Rockies, he posted a 7.21 ERA across 127.1 innings.
