Ben Stinar of Heavy argues that the Toronto Blue Jays should target veteran first baseman Paul Goldschmidt in free agency. Following a disappointing season in which Toronto missed the 2026 MLB playoffs, the franchise is expected to seek roster additions over the winter to return to postseason contention in 2027.
Goldschmidt is entering free agency after spending the season with the New York Yankees. The 39-year-old seven-time All-Star reportedly plans to continue playing after producing a bounce-back campaign, particularly finding success against left-handed pitchers.
