Tom Dakers of Bluebird Banter has opened community voting for the 2026 Bluebird Banter Haiku Contest on October 6, 2026. Qualifying submissions that received five or more recommendations have been compiled across two separate polls due to platform limitations on poll entry sizes.
The overall winner across both polls will be crowned the contest champion, while the top vote-getter in the alternate poll will serve as the backup poet laureate. Ten community haikus were featured, referencing Toronto Blue Jays figures including Alejandro Kirk, Ernie Clement, and manager John Schneider.
