Jarlin Susana impresses with easy high velocity in Triple-A Championship game

Washington Nationals pitching prospect Jarlin Susana impressed during the Triple-A National Championship game for the Rochester Red Wings against the Oklahoma City Comets. Entering in relief, Susana pitched 2.0 scoreless innings and recorded one strikeout. During his outing, he threw a 104.0 mph fastball, which was the fastest pitch recorded across all of Triple-A during the season.

Despite Susana's performance, the Red Wings lost the championship matchup 5-3 in extra innings. Bennett Lehmann argues that if Susana improves his command and remains healthy, he could push for a spot in Washington's starting rotation next season and contend for the NL Rookie of the Year award.
