Yankees bench Jazz Chisholm Jr., Ryan McMahon for critical Game 3 of ALDS

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone benched infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. and third baseman Ryan McMahon ahead of Game 3 of the ALDS against the Tampa Bay Rays. Boone inserted Anthony Volpe at second base and José Caballero at third base, stating he wanted to provide a spark following the team's 5-2 Game 2 defeat.

Both Chisholm and McMahon struggled during Monday's loss, committing defensive errors during a three-run first inning. The duo also struggled offensively, combining to hit just 3-for-16 (.188) in the postseason against opposing pitching.
