Former two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira will look a bit different in his heavyweight return compared to his fight at UFC Freedom 250.

Former two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira announced plans to cut weight and enter the Octagon around 240 pounds for his upcoming bout against Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335. Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Pereira explained that fighting at a lighter weight will help counter his opponent's power following his TKO loss to Ciryl Gane at UFC Freedom 250.
Pereira and Pavlovich are scheduled to compete in the co-main event, with the winner potentially positioning themselves for a future title shot against the victor of Ciryl Gane versus Josh Hokit. Pereira added that while his primary plan is to remain at heavyweight, he would consider a return to light heavyweight if necessary.
