The two-division MMA king is keeping the island's combat sports legacy alive ahead of his next World Title defense.

Two-division champion Christian Lee is developing Hawaii's next generation of mixed martial arts talent through his Prodigy Training Center in Waipahu. Alongside his wife Katie and brother Adrian Lee, he coaches youth, amateur, and professional prospects. Lee organized an in-house smoker event with 15 matches to help local athletes gain crucial cage experience without having to travel to the mainland.
The initiative addresses the lack of active amateur MMA promotions in Hawaii, bridging the geographic gap to help local competitors. Established Hawaiian fighters Max Holloway and Ray Cooper have also joined the gym to train alongside Lee. Meanwhile, Lee prepares to defend his lightweight MMA title against Tye Ruotolo at The Inner Circle 37 on November 6 in Bangkok.
