Alex Pereira believes Daniel Cormier was influenced by the UFC to campaign for Ciryl Gane vs. Josh Hokit. But was he?

Daniel Cormier addressed claims made by Alex Pereira, describing the fighter as misguided for suggesting the UFC influenced his commentary. Pereira had accused the promotion of manipulation regarding the heavyweight title matchup between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit scheduled for UFC 334 in November.
UFC CEO Dana White strongly defended Cormier, insisting that the promotion does not attempt to dictate or influence commentators' opinions. Meanwhile, Gane defends his newly awarded undisputed heavyweight championship against Hokit at Madison Square Garden on November 14.
