Farid Basharat denies Dana White’s claim that there was a "reason" to UFC release.

Farid Basharat has pushed back against UFC CEO Dana White's claims suggesting there were behind-the-scenes reasons for his release. The promotion controversially opted not to offer the undefeated bantamweight fighter a new contract after he completed his existing deal, despite holding a 7-0 record inside the Octagon.
Basharat, who holds a 16-0 professional MMA record, argued that the promotion is manufacturing a fanbase that fails to appreciate quality fighting. While White insinuated outside issues caused the split, Basharat denied being at fault for the organization's decision to part ways.
