Former bantamweight fighter Farid Basharat revealed that the UFC informed his management team he was considered a boring fighter before his departure from the organization. Despite an undefeated 16-0 professional MMA record that featured a 7-0 stint inside the Octagon, promotion matchmakers decided not to provide him with a new contract.
Basharat criticized the UFC following remarks by CEO Dana White, who stated there was a specific reason for the release. The fighter contended the promotion is prioritizing bloody, reckless action over technical skill and argued officials are manufacturing a fan base that fails to appreciate high-level combat sports.
