Fedor Emelianenko has criticized Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White over the promotion’s attempts to sign him, accusing the executive of repeatedly changing his account of their failed negotiations.
MMA veteran Fedor Emelianenko has criticized UFC CEO Dana White, claiming the executive repeatedly changes his account of their failed past negotiations and does not stand by his words. Speaking to Russian YouTube channel Ushatayka, Emelianenko questioned White's business methods and stated that the UFC only pursued him when he was already under contract elsewhere, such as with Strikeforce.
Emelianenko explained that signing an offer while already contracted would have exposed him to legal disputes and stalled his career. Additionally, the former PRIDE champion denied actively negotiating an MMA bout with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, clarifying that they had only discussed a hypothetical boxing match.
