The mixed martial arts organization has had links to the US president for years. Now it could be involved in training federal agents

The FBI is in the process of awarding the UFC an exclusive contract to train federal agents in mixed martial arts. The initiative follows a two-day March seminar at the FBI Special Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia, where around 300 federal agents and students underwent hand-to-hand combat training led by past and current UFC fighters, including Chris Weidman and Justin Gaethje.
In September, the FBI filed a Sole Source Justification form to bypass competitive bidding for the one-year contract, claiming the UFC is uniquely qualified to teach tactical striking, grappling, and defense. The partnership highlights the deepening relationship between UFC leadership, Donald Trump, and FBI Director Kash Patel.
