Jake Paul’s MVP sued for $10 million by ex-world champ over bout that caused ‘permanent brain injury’

Former WBO featherweight champion Heather Hardy has filed a lawsuit against Jake Paul and Most Valuable Promotions over her 2023 bout against Amanda Serrano. The legal complaint alleges that MVP staged an unsafe match by exploiting Hardy's financial circumstances despite safety concerns. Hardy retired from boxing following the unanimous decision loss on the Jake Paul versus Nate Diaz undercard.

The lawsuit claims Hardy suffered a permanent traumatic brain injury, double vision, and other cognitive impairments from the contest. Her promoter Lou DiBella reportedly declined involvement in the 2023 rematch due to safety concerns regarding accumulated punishment over her career.
