UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van disputed commentator Joe Rogan's claim that he won his title "by accident" during the UFC 331 ceremonial weigh-ins. Van is scheduled to defend his flyweight championship in a rematch against Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 331. The confrontation occurred on stage during the pre-fight interviews ahead of the event.
Van originally won the flyweight title at UFC 323 after Pantoja dislocated his elbow in the first round. While Rogan and some fans viewed the injury stoppage as a fluke, Van defended his victory, stating the win was meant to be. The tension has increased animosity between the two fighters leading into their rematch.
