Justin Gaethje has shut down a particular narrative that emerged after his win over Ilia Topuria.
Justin Gaethje defended Ilia Topuria against claims that he quit during their lightweight title fight at UFC Freedom 250. Speaking on the "One Night with Steiny" podcast, Gaethje clarified that Topuria's corner made the decision to stop the bout before the final round because his body was too compromised to continue, stating the coaches rightly stepped in to protect their fighter.
Gaethje also addressed accusations from Topuria regarding loaded gloves, dismissing the claims as internet-driven behavior aimed at generating online engagement and interactions.
