Former UFC veteran Ketlen Vieira has received a six-month suspension following a positive test for a banned steroidal substance after her PFL bout against Cris Cyborg. According to Mike Mazzulli, director of the Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulation, both Vieira's A and B in-competition samples confirmed the presence of the World Anti-Doping Agency-prohibited substance.
The positive test follows Vieira's unanimous decision loss to Cyborg at PFL Tampa on August 22. Originally scheduled as a PFL featherweight title bout, the match was changed to a non-title fight after Vieira missed weight by 7.2 pounds. The bout was Vieira's first appearance since her release from the UFC.
