Alexander Volkov has revealed his preferred result for the next heavyweight title fight. Ciryl Gane will defend his belt against Josh Hokit in a clash…

Alexander Volkov has revealed he is hoping Josh Hokit defeats heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane at UFC 334. Speaking to Helen Yee Sports, Volkov explained that a title victory for Hokit would represent an easier matchup for his own championship aspirations. Although he expects Gane to win if forced to bet, the Russian heavyweight would prefer to see the belt change hands next month at Madison Square Garden.
Volkov previously lost two scorecard decisions against Gane, including a disputed split decision rematch in 2024. Ahead of his upcoming bout against Rizvan Kuniev, Volkov noted that facing Hokit would offer a clearer path to the title, though he later apologized for labeling Hokit an easier opponent.
