Manel Kape is making his case for the next Ultimate Fighting Championship flyweight title shot.
Top flyweight contender Manel Kape is targeting a title bout against UFC champion Joshua Van, claiming he will make the potential fight look easy. Van defended his 125-pound title against Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 331 on September 19, following a prior defense against Tatsuro Taira. Kape expressed confidence on social media, describing Van's boxing-centric style as an ideal stylistic matchup for him.
Kape holds a 23-7 professional record and is currently on a four-fight knockout streak, recently defeating Kyoji Horiguchi. California State Athletic Commission records revealed Van rehydrated to 145.8 pounds for UFC 331, while Kape stated he would reach 160 pounds on fight night.
