A UFC middleweight title rematch between champion Sean Strickland and Nassourdine Imavov is reportedly being planned for February in Florida. According to MMA Junkie reporter Mike Bohn, the bout is close to being finalized and is expected to serve as the UFC's second numbered event of the year following UFC 336 in Toronto.
The matchup was initially expected to headline UFC 335 in Las Vegas this December, but plans stalled due to a pay dispute between Strickland and the promotion. Strickland was reportedly offered $400,000 to show and $400,000 to win, though issues now appear to be resolved ahead of their targeted rematch.
