Patricio "Pitbull" Freire believes reconnecting with a longtime boxing coach, Edelson Silva, played a major role in getting his career back on track.
Patricio "Pitbull" Freire secured a first-round technical knockout victory over Doo Ho Choi at UFC 331, successfully returning to winning ways inside the Octagon. Following the match, the former Bellator champion credited his revived career performance to his reunion with boxing coach Edelson Silva.
Freire explained that he and Silva resolved past differences after drifting apart for 11 years while Silva worked on training camps for Anderson Silva. Freire had previously trained with Silva between 2010 and 2015, stating the reconciliation helped him find his rhythm and fight more freely.
