Former UFC champions Henry Cejudo and Tony Ferguson secured victories at a Misfits Boxing event on Sept. 26 in Miami. Cejudo defeated Javon Walton via split decision in his professional boxing debut, earning scores of 39-37, 37-39, and 39-37. Meanwhile, Ferguson defended his Misfits middleweight title by securing a second-round technical knockout against Mahmoud Sebie at the 42-second mark.
Ferguson improved his record to 3-0 under the Misfits banner after recovering from an early second-round knockdown to halt Sebie with a barrage of punches. Both fighters faced late opponent changes prior to the event, as Cejudo's original opponent Nurideen Shabazz and Ferguson's scheduled opponent Kenzo Biyong were forced to withdraw.
