Tony Ferguson takes credit for Arman Tsarukyan’s wicked elbow KO over Mauricio Ruffy: “Being a good neighbor goes very far”

Tony Ferguson stated that he taught Arman Tsarukyan the elbow strike used to knock out Mauricio Ruffy at UFC 331 on September 19. Speaking to Fred Beck of Fred Talks Fighting, Ferguson explained that he showed Tsarukyan the technique while training in Thailand after learning it himself at the Rain Training Center.

Tsarukyan's first-round knockout over Ruffy positioned him as a leading lightweight contender, though champion Justin Gaethje remains sidelined until 2027 with hand injuries. Meanwhile, Ferguson is scheduled to defend his Misfits Boxing middleweight title against Mahmoud Sebie following travel issues that ruled out original opponent Kenzo Biyong.
