The SMT data reveals clear intent from Hocevar's side in the brake-checking incident that ended Austin Cindric's race…

SMT telemetry data revealed Carson Hocevar repeatedly brake-checked Austin Cindric at Martinsville Speedway, causing severe damage to Cindric's No. 2 Team Penske Ford and eliminating him from the race. Following the incident during the Xfinity 500, NASCAR Vice President Elton Sawyer explained that tracking data proved Hocevar brake-checked Cindric four separate times.
In response to the data and on-track actions, NASCAR penalized Hocevar with a $100,000 fine and docked him 25 driver points. Additionally, Spire Motorsports suspended Hocevar from driving in the Cup Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
