Trajectories are moving in opposite directions for two Formula 1 drivers, when it comes to the latest driver replacement news at Haas.

Formula 2 championship leader Rafael Câmara will replace Esteban Ocon at Haas for the 2027 Formula 1 season, signing a multi-year deal. The 21-year-old Brazilian and Ferrari Driver Academy member earned the seat following an impressive test in Portugal, leaving the 30-year-old Ocon without a confirmed drive on the grid.
Writer Bobby Ciafardini argues that Ocon's career promise failed to fully materialize following moderate success across tenures with Manor, Renault, Alpine, and Haas. Câmara will partner with Oliver Bearman to form the youngest driver pairing on the Formula 1 grid.
