Dodge has officially announced its return to the NASCAR Cup Series for the 2027 season, joining Chevrolet, Toyota, and Ford as the sport's fourth manufacturer. The announcement was made at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, with the new car scheduled for unveiling at the Snowball Derby in December. Dodge will partner with Kaulig Racing to field its entries.
Kaulig Racing is expected to retain drivers A.J. Allmendinger and Ty Dillon for the program, while utilizing engines built by ECR. The return marks Dodge's first Cup Series appearance since 2012, when Brad Keselowski captured the championship before the manufacturer left the grid ahead of the Gen-6 era.
