Chase Briscoe’s NASCAR career took an unexpected turn when Stewart-Haas Racing announced it would close its four-car Cup Series operation after the 2024 season.
Stewart-Haas Racing's closure in 2024 set off a career resurgence for Chase Briscoe, propelling him into stardom with Joe Gibbs Racing. Following the team's shutdown announcement and Martin Truex Jr.'s retirement, Briscoe secured a multiyear deal to drive the No. 19 Toyota starting in 2025. He quickly established himself by making the Championship 4 in his first year with the organization.
Briscoe continued his strong form into the 2026 season, securing his third victory of the year at Charlotte Motor Speedway by edging teammate Christopher Bell by 0.029 seconds. The consecutive wins pushed Briscoe into fourth place in the standings, placing him in contention for the NASCAR Cup Series championship.
