Larson leads the NASCAR Chase after Charlotte, but can Chase Briscoe, Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell still catch him?

NASCAR insider Jeff Gluck stated that Kyle Larson's rivals face a near-impossible mathematical challenge to catch him in the Cup Series championship race. Despite finishing sixth at the Bank of America 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Hendrick Motorsports driver extended his championship lead to 49 points over Denny Hamlin, with Christopher Bell 51 points back and race winner Chase Briscoe trailing by 65 points.
With four races remaining, Gluck noted that Briscoe would need an unsustainable average of 70 points per race to catch Larson if Larson maintains his current pace. Larson holds an average finish of 2.8 across the postseason, having accumulated strong stage points that minimize any gains by his competitors, leaving rivals dependent on a major setback for the leader.
