The Story in 60 Seconds

The WNBA and the Atlanta Hawks reached an agreement allowing Game 6 of the WNBA Finals to remain at State Farm Arena on October 29. The Atlanta Dream will host the Golden State Valkyries in an unusual doubleheader, tipping off at 12:30 p.m. ET before the Hawks host the Cleveland Cavaliers at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The compromise prevents the Dream from relocating to their smaller standard venue, Gateway Center Arena, which seats only 3,500 compared to State Farm Arena's 17,000 capacity. League commissioner Cathy Engelbert praised the resolution, though the midday weekday start poses logistical hurdles for attending fans.
