Being in Denver gives Ryan Nembhard a much better shot at playing than if he stayed in Atlanta.

Writer Zach Langley argues that guard Ryan Nembhard has landed a superior opportunity with the Denver Nuggets after being cut by the Atlanta Hawks. The 23-year-old guard, who spent the previous season with the Dallas Mavericks, signed a two-way contract with Denver ahead of the 2026-27 season following Atlanta's roster-trimming decisions.
Langley suggests Denver's aging roster and need for fresh legs could open up playing time for Nembhard that Atlanta could not offer. In Atlanta, Nembhard faced heavy backcourt competition, whereas injuries in Denver could allow him to earn a permanent rotation role.
