Muggsy Bogues spent his entire NBA career looking up at all other players. They’ll be looking up at him now.

The Charlotte Hornets announced that Muggsy Bogues' No. 1 jersey will be retired during a halftime ceremony on Feb. 11 against Milwaukee. Standing at five-foot-three, Bogues is the shortest player in NBA history and will become only the third player to have his jersey retired by the Hornets, joining Bobby Phills and Dell Curry.
Bogues played 14 NBA seasons, spending the majority of his career in Charlotte after joining the team in the 1988 expansion draft. Over his career, he averaged 7.7 points and 7.6 assists per game while helping lead the Hornets to three consecutive 50-win seasons and their first playoff series win in 1993.
