Speaking to reporters ahead of the Bruins' season opener on Tuesday, Jacobs responded to remarks made by Celtics owner Bill Chisholm regarding arena possibilities. The Jacobs family owns TD Garden and the Bruins, while the Celtics currently lease the facility through the 2036 season.

Jacobs praised Chisholm for taking time to evaluate options and noted that discussions between the parties have focused on keeping the Celtics at TD Garden. Chisholm previously indicated in August that while a new arena was not strictly required, ongoing improvements were essential for player and fan experiences.
