The Los Angeles Lakers recently signed forward Anton Watson to an Exhibit 10 deal and waived him shortly after, according to the NBA transaction wire. The move is designed to direct Watson to the franchise's G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. Watson can now earn a $91,000 bonus if he spends at least 60 days with South Bay this season.
Watson was originally selected 54th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2024 NBA Draft before the team moved on from him during his rookie campaign. The former Gonzaga standout later appeared in nine games for the New York Knicks in 2024-25 before being waived, subsequently spending time with the Lakers' G League affiliate.
