A Former Boston Celtics fan favorite faces an injury setback ahead of the 76ers' NBA season opener against the Knicks.

Philadelphia 76ers center Tacko Fall was held out of practice on Monday due to a lingering left hip strain, putting his availability in doubt for Tuesday's season opener against the New York Knicks. Head coach Nick Nurse confirmed that the former Boston Celtics fan favorite did not practice with the team, leaving Philadelphia with no definitive timetable for his return to action.
Fall initially suffered the hip injury on the second day of training camp and missed the entire preseason. The 76ers converted Fall's Exhibit 10 deal to a two-way contract on October 17 following a season-ending injury to center Ariel Hukporti, intending for him to split time with the Delaware Blue Coats and provide depth behind Joel Embiid.
