Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller left Friday's game against the Boston Celtics in the second quarter due to right groin soreness and did not return. The fourth-year player recently signed a projected $208.8 million five-year rookie scale extension with Charlotte and entered the contest averaging 22.0 points and 5.3 rebounds across nine games this season.
Miller's injury adds to an extensive list of health setbacks for Charlotte, with teammates Kon Knueppel, Moussa Diabate, and Dennis Schröder also sidelined. Head coach Charles Lee noted the team is evaluating Knueppel's hamstring injury, while the shorthanded Hornets suffered a blowout loss to Boston for their sixth consecutive defeat.
