Former NBA guard Isaiah Whitehead announced his retirement from basketball on social media. Whitehead, selected 42nd overall in the 2016 NBA draft, played two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets and spent most of his professional career overseas.
Several other former NBA players secured new contracts abroad. Josh Christopher signed a one-year deal with Israeli team Ironi Ness Ziona, while Matt Thomas reached an agreement with Spain's Unicaja. Additionally, Lithuanian center Donatas Motiejunas is reportedly close to signing a guaranteed one-year contract with Greek club PAOK Thessaloniki.
